Gabriel Entin
(Buenos Aires, 1978)

M.A., Political Studies; PhD, History’École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales He is a researcher at CONICET based at the Center for Intellectual History. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Instituto de Investigaciones Históricas-UNAM and a professor at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad Nacional de San Martín and Universidad de Chile.
He is a member of the board of directors of Prismas.Revista de Historia Intelectual and editor of Contributions for the History of Concepts. Since 2016, he has been the organizer and academic coordinator of the Concepta Iberoamérica Summer School at El Colegio de México and is a member of the Executive Council of Concepta. International Research School in Conceptual History and Political Thought.

He published En quête de république. Une histoire de la communauté politique en Amérique hispanique and, as an editor, Itinerarios de un metaconcepto. La comunidad en el siglo XIX latinoamericano (2024, with Jorge Myers), Rousseau en Iberoamérica. Lecturas e interpretaciones entre monarquía y revolución (2018), Crear la independencia. Historia de un problema argentino (2016), the volume “Libertad” of Diccionario político y social del
mundo iberoamericano. Iberconceptos II edited by Javier Fernández Sebastián (2014, with Loles González-Ripoll) and L’Atlantique révolutionnaire. Une perspective ibéro- américaine (2013, with Clément Thibaud, Alejandro Gómez y Federica Morelli).

His research explores republicanism in the Hispanic world (17th-19th centuries), the intellectual history of revolutions and independence in the Iberian Atlantic, and methodologies of conceptual history.
He is an organizing member of Historiarthe podcast of the Asociación Argentina de Investigadores en Historia.
