Laura Ehrlic (PhD, History, Universidad de Buenos Aires) is an associate researcher at CONICET, and a member of the Center for Intellectual History at the Universidad de Quilmes since 2008. She has served as a professor of Theoretical History and taught graduate-level seminars at the same university. Her research topics have focused on activism, the press, and peronist commemorations in the decade from 1955 to 1965; and more recently, on the various appropriations of the figure of Eva Perón in peronism, Argentine culture, and global mass culture in the last decades of the 20th century.
Her most recent publications are La reinvención del peronismo, 1955-1965 (Bernal, UNQ, 2022); “Una estrella titila desde el Atlántico Norte: ‘Evita’ en versión musical”, Quinto Sol, vol. 29, 2024, pp. 1-22; “El ascenso de Eva Perón en el peronismo y la cultura argentina, décadas de 1950 y 1960”, Boletín del Instituto de Historia Argentina y Americana “Dr. Emilio Ravignani”, nº 58, enero-junio de 2023, pp. 58-85.
She directs the collection “Argentine and Latin American Ideology (Collection in Honor of Oscar Terán)” for the UNQ press. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Prismas. Revista de historia intelectual.
