Santiago M. Roggerone (PhD, Social Sciences, Universidad de Buenos Aires; B.A., Prof, M.A., Sociology of Culture, Universidad Nacional de San Martín, B.A.). He currently works as a researcher for the CONICET at the Center for Intellectual History at the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, as a professor at the Universidad Nacional del Chaco Austral, and as head of practical work and first assistant at the UBA. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and participating in and/or directing various research projects and programs, he coordinates the Contemporary Critical Theory Study Group at the Instituto de Investigaciones Gino Germani, UBA.

He is the author of the books, In the Tracks of Western Marxism: The Adventures of a Concept from Schifrin to Losurdo (and Beyond) (Brill, 2026), Hipótesis comunistas (Red Editorial, 2025), Tras las huellas del marxismo occidental (Ediciones IPS, 2022), Venir después: Notas y conjeturas generacionales (Red Editorial, 2020) and ¿Alguien dijo crisis del marxismo? Axel Honneth, Slavoj Žižek y las nuevas teorías críticas de la sociedad (Prometeo Libros, 2018). He has also compiled or edited the collective volumes La Argentina y el centenario del Instituto de Investigación Social: Variaciones sobre la historia, la actualidad y el porvenir de la Teoría Crítica (CLACSO, 2025; with Agustín L. Prestifilippo and Alexis Gros), Dilemas contemporáneos de la Teoría Crítica de la sociedad (Biblos, 2024; with a Agustín L. Prestifilippo and Alexis Gros), Crisis y crítica: Intervenciones en presente sobre el futuro de la emancipación (IIGG-CLACSO, 2021; with Agustín L.
