Elías José Palti

Elías Palti (PhD, History, University of California, Berkeley) is professor at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), and a researcher at CONICET.

His work has offered a radical critique of the assumptions of the “history of ideas,” taking as their starting point the contributions of “conceptual history” (Reinhart Koselleck) and the “Cambridge school” (J.G.A. Pocock, Quentin Skinner), among others. His contributions have highlighted the linguistic dimensions of intellectual practices both in Latin American historiography and in the concepts inherited from the European tradition.
