He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Universidad de San Andr\u00e9s. He has been a member of the editorial committee of <em>Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico. Revista de Ciencias Sociales<\/em> and <em>Ciencia Hoy<\/em>, among other scientific publications. Together with Lila Caimari, he directs the <em>Hacer Historia<\/em>collection at Editorial Siglo XXI. He is a full member of the National Academy of History. In 2024, he was declared a Distinguished Person in the field of Culture by the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. His books include, <em>The Landowners of the Argentine Pampas. A Social and Political History<\/em> (2001, Spanish translation 2002); <em>Los estancieros contra el Estado. La Liga Agraria y la formaci\u00f3n del ruralismo pol\u00edtico en la Argentina moderna<\/em> (2009), <em>Historia econ\u00f3mica de la Argentina en el siglo XIX<\/em> (2010), <em>Historia del turf argentino<\/em> (2014) and <em>\u00bfC\u00f3mo pensaron el campo los argentinos?<\/em> (2018). His latest book, co-authored with Pablo Gerchunoff, is <em>La moneda en el aire<\/em>. <em>Conversaciones sobre la Argentina y su historia de futuros imprevisibles<\/em> (2021).<\/p><p>His research examines various topics in Argentine history between 1850 and 1945.
